7th Annual Buckeye Union School District Heritage Festival
We are excited to announce that the 7th Annual Heritage Festival will be held at Silva Valley Elementary School in El Dorado Hills this year. The festival is going to be held on Friday, February 24th from 5:30-7:30 pm in the school multipurpose room. The Heritage Festival is an opportunity to introduce students from our district to countries and cultures from around the world through music, dance, art, and food. We encourage all families within our district to join us for what promises to be a fun-filled evening.
If you would like to create a booth representing a country of your family’s heritage, provide a cultural performance or just volunteer to help out with this fun event, please contact Rochelle Valencia at firstname.lastname@example.org or (530) 677-2277 ext. 1224. The more support we can get for this free family event, the better it will be!
Please see the flyer for additional information.
LABELS FOR EDUCATION
Please turn in labels for education to the Blue Oak office. We are working for a mini iPad for our PE program. This is the last year for collection of labels, we need to collect 10,000 more points.
VACCINE REQUIRMENTS FOR REGISTRATION
Completed vaccinations are required prior to school entry for all grades and for registration completion. For more information as to the vaccines that are required for school entry, please review the documentation provided by the California Department of Public Health.
As of January 2016, there are no waivers accepted for vaccinations for kindergarten and 7th-grade registration. For more information about immunization law, please review the materials at the Shots For School web page.
